Britain to push for security council action as UN chief condemns Sudan's RSF
The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the recent attacks on civilians by Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support
The United Nations said Friday it was deeply concerned about the arrest of Egyptian opposition politician Ahmad al-Tantawi and called for his immediate release., according to AFP.
"We call on the Egyptian authorities to immediately release Al-Tantawi and all other individuals unduly held for exercising their fundamental rights, particularly freedom of opinion, expression and association," UN rights office spokeswoman Marta Hurtado said in a statement.
