The UN mission in Libya has called for an investigation into the death of prominent activist Abdel Monem al-Marimi, according to AFP. Marimi, a government critic, reportedly died in Tripoli after being detained by the Internal Security Agency. While prosecutors claim he fell down a stairwell, the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has urged a "transparent and independent" inquiry into his "arbitrary detention, allegations of torture," and the unclear circumstances of his death.
