Sudan's Agriculture Minister denies there’s a famine in the country

Libya's eastern-based parliament approved a 2024 budget of 90 billion Libyan dinars ($18.5 billion) for the government it established, led by Osama Hamad, as reported by Reuters on Tuesday.
The approved budget, however, does not include an allocation for development projects.
Hamad, in power since March 2023, governs from Benghazi and is aligned with Khalifa Haftar, a military leader who exercises control over Libya's eastern and significant southern regions.
Aisha Tublqi, a member of the House of Representatives (HoR), said the development projects allocation was omitted because the government requested 30 billion LYD over three years, but the parliament insisted on additional project details before granting approval.
