U.S. Congressman to introduce legislation designating Polisario as a terrorist organization

Republican Congressman Joe Wilson announced on Friday that he will initiate legislation to label the Polisario Front as a terrorist entity. “I will introduce legislation to designate the Polisario as terrorists,” Wilson wrote on X, accusing Algeria and Russia of using the separatist front to gain a strategic foothold in Africa. The statement comes after a significant week for U.S. Morocco relations, following discussions in Washington between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.
