Mother of jailed Egyptian activist ends hunger strike

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Washington on Tuesday, as tensions in the Middle East escalate. The two leaders discussed developments in North Africa and the Middle East. Blinken reiterated the U.S. commitment to de-escalating conflicts in the region. Relations between Washington and Rabat have strengthened since the U.S. recognized Morocco’s claim over Western Sahara in December 2020, bolstering diplomatic ties between the two nations.
