The Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament (WAFCON) started in Morocco this weekend, with the host nation in the opening game. In an electrifying match, Morocco's Atlas Lionesses secured a 2-2 draw against Zambia at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, according to BBC News. Considered among the tournament favourites, Morocco salvaged a point through captain Ghizlane Chebbak's late equalizer, setting an engaging tone for the competition on home soil.
