World experienced hottest April on record

According to a report released on Wednesday by the EU's climate monitor, April marked another "remarkable" of record-breaking global air and sea surface temperatures.

Europe experienced its second warmest April on record, while significant temperature increases were observed mostly in Africa.

Concurrently, Morocco is bracing for a heatwave with temperatures expected to reach between 40 and 44 degrees Celsius across several provinces from Tuesday to Friday, prompting the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) to issue an orange alert.
