At a cost of around $305 million and a height of 264 meters, the Rabat Observation Wheel is expected to be 14 meters higher than the current title holder, the Ain Dubai in the UAE, local media reports say and will be financed by private investors. Local media also added that the project would create at least 500 jobs for Moroccans but did not mention a timeline or when it will open. Initial plans suggest that this architectural landmark will reshape the Atlantic facade of the Ocean neighborhood in Rabat with a private transportation system linking the site to the Agdal station also currently under consideration, allowing for a considerable influx of tourists.
