Egypt's foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday it was deeply concerned about an escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran, following reports of an Israeli attack on Iran.
Egypt also warned of the consequences of expanding the conflict and instability in the region.
It also expressed its deep regret over the inability of the Security Council to enable Palestine to become a full member of the United Nations, against the backdrop of the United States use of its veto.
