Parliamentary leaders from Jordan met with Moroccan counterparts in Rabat this week to discuss enhanced cooperation between the two legislatures, Moroccan media reported. Rachid Talbi Alami, president of the Moroccan Chamber of Representatives, met with a delegation from the Jordanian parliament's legal committee led by Haitham Ziadin.
Morocco and Jordan enjoy long established relations and the two countries are now aiming to also expand economic ties. While Morocco and Jordan signed a Free Trade Agreement in 1998, bilateral trade amounted to a modest $57.8 million in 2021.
